A native of Los Angeles, Jennifer
Morita, has been active in the study and performance of
music for over twenty years. In May 2005 she earned her
Master of Music in piano solo performance from the San
Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) as a scholarship
recipient under the tutelage of pianist Mack McCray. Two
years prior Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts in piano
solo performance from UCLA School of the Arts and
Architecture. Her previous piano teachers include Dr. Walter
Ponce and the late Mr. Yohsuke Suga. Included in Jennifer’s
background is a foundation in Classical/Western music and
music theory, piano performance, chamber music, as well as
skills in accompanying, composition, improvisation, and
leadership.
